USQ | Wines of South Africa Consumer Tasting
June 3 2019 | 6:00 PM13 E. 13th Street, New York 10003
Join us in welcoming Wines of South Africa! Divided into six large geographical areas, South Africa ranks 8th among wine-producing countries worldwide. Although the country is best known for its Steen (Chenin Blanc) and Pinotage, a Cinsault x Pinot Noir crossing, other grapes including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc help to make up the bulk of wine production. We're tasting these grapes and more while discussing the region's history, landscape, terrior, and notable producers.
Drop by for a walk-around consumer tasting with a selection of over 30 wines from a few of South Africa's best wineries!
The Wineries:
Graham Beck | The Drift | Beau Joubert | Glenelly | Boschendal | Robinson & Sinclair
