Union Square | Portugal Masterclass
April 27 2024 | 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM13 E. 13th Street, New York, NY 10003
The country became famous because of Port and Madeira, yet there's more to Portugal than fortified wine. Indigenous grapes like Fernão Pires and Castelão scatter the country’s vineyards, with the more familiar Touriga Nacional and Alvarinho as some of our favorites. In this class, we're traveling Portugal from North to South speaking about the country's best-kept secrets. Join MS Laura Maniec to find out why Portuguese winemakers are sticking to tradition and relying on indigenous grape varieties to differentiate their production amongst the world's best.
Join us at the bar for a glass of wine and dinner the day of class and receive 10% off your check.
Live wine classes are led by Corkbuzz Sommeliers and last 90 minutes. Class includes 6 (2 ounce) pours of wine, printed materials, and complimentary cheese. Guests will be seated at communal tables. Please refrain from wearing heavy fragrances to class.
