Union Square | Beaujolais Cru Day

13 E. 13th Street, New York, NY 10003

Vin de Soif! Come discover why so many sommeliers and wine professionals have fallen in love with the region of Beaujolais. Located close to Lyon, a culinary mecca and France’s third-largest city, Beaujolais is primarily a red wine growing region, and it sets the classic standard for Gamay wines. There are incredible wines to be discovered from entry-level Beaujolais AOP, the more defined Beaujolais-Villages AOP, and the celebrated, ten northern crus. From Fleurie to Morgon there are stylistic nuances that make this region so special and worth learning about. Join us as we taste through 6 examples of Beaujolais wine, while discussing the history, winemaking techniques, and producers worth knowing. With Beaujolais Nouveau Day just around the corner, lets celebrate the Cru's of Beaujolais and what make them so distinctive and unique.
