The island boasts a wealth of ancient native grape varieties and traditions, from the mineral tinged wines of the volcanic Mt. Etna, the savory blends of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, and the historic sweet wines of Marsala. In between you'll find areas steep in traditional grapes sweeping over the hillsides. We'll delve into Sicilian history, exploring grapes like Nerello Mascalese, Frappato, Nero d'Avola, Perricone, Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico, Zibibbo, Carricante, and Grillo. There's something in Sicily to explore for everyone.
