Chelsea Market | Provence & Corsica

75 9th Avenue, New York, NY 10011

The beautiful Mediterranean island of Corsica, settled between the southeast coast of Provence and the west coast of Tuscany, unsurprisingly invites a collision of influences from both French and Italian winemaking. Despite being closer to Italy than it is to France, Corsica has been under French rule since 1769. The coastal region of Provence is known as the place that winemaking first started in France, but although the region has recently become known for its delicate rosés, a wealth of red and white blends come from the appellations as well. In this class, we'll dive deep into these two Mediterranean regions, discussing history, wine law, varieties, geography, geology, winemaking techniques, and top producers.

Join us at the bar for a glass of wine and dinner the day of class and receive 10% off your check.

Live wine classes are led by Corkbuzz Sommeliers and last 90 minutes. Class includes 6 (2 ounce) pours of wine, printed materials, and complimentary cheese. Guests will be seated at communal tables. Please refrain from wearing heavy fragrances to class.
