Chelsea Market | Champagne Spotlight: Côte des Bar

75 9th Avenue, New York, NY 10011

Join Corkbuzz Beverage Director Ryan Totman for a series based on the regions of Champagne.

Our fourth installment is based on The Côte des Bars. Also known as the Aube, is the most southern major region of Champagne. Known for the quality of its Pinot Noir, as well as the rare Rosé de Ricey still wine, the Côte des Bar has a reputation for crafting vinous, complex wines from renegade producers.  We'll delve into understanding this top quality area, discussing its villages, history, styles of production, and top producers. Champagne is a complex topic, and we'll review the methods of production, grapes, and philosophy used to craft these process driven wines.
