Champagne Campaign: Amazing, but… What? Huh? Why??

Seriously?? 50% off? ALL bottles of Champagne? EVERY night?

If you know me at all, you know that I’m obsessed with Champagne. I’m enraptured by this place, by the cool weather and chalky soils… by the bubbles in my glass, by the painstaking process the wine went through to get them, by the care that’s taken to age the wine in the cellar for such a long time before releasing it…

There really is nothing else quite like Champagne.

I also believe that Champagne deserves to be enjoyed regularly — that you deserve to enjoy it regularly! And not just on special occasions. It’s SO versatile when it comes to pairing with food or even drinking on its own. I’m notorious for touting Champagne with French fries, since the acidity and bubbles in the wine cut right through the salt and oil in the fries, making you want more fries, then more Champagne, then more fries, then more Champagne, then…. (Side note: If you ever want to know what to drink with a particular bottle of Champagne, drop me a line.)

So I thought about the question: “Why don’t people drink Champagne every day?” And I realized it’s because the price doesn’t allow for regular imbibing. The process of making Champagne — from the places where the grapes are grown (It’s cold up here! Sometimes the grapes don’t even fully ripen!) to the process of making it (you have to basically make it twice to get the bubbles) to the aging and delicate art of the blend… It’s incredibly special but also time-consuming and costly, which is what makes it a more expensive bottle of wine.

I recognize that a lot of the prestigious, top bottles aren’t necessarily affordable for everyone, especially not for “everyday” occasions. Still, I strongly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience them, to understand why Champagne has this magical, fascinating quality that I think is so amazing. I wanted to make the experience accessible and not so serious, even if it’s only for part of the evening. This is how we came up with the Champagne Campaign.

To get to the pricing: Yes, we don’t make a regular mark-up on the Champagne Campaign, and we couldn’t do it all the time. But promoting something you believe in is about more than the money. It’s about sharing. It’s about getting other people excited about something you think is amazing. It’s about making them feel special, excited, eager for more. And happy. That is my goal with the Champagne Campaign. I want for us all to get to experience GREAT Champagne at a more accessible price yet still in an amazing environment.

And my own happiest moments since we have started this campaign? Looking up at the bar and seeing 15-20 of you, sipping on Champagne and enjoying yourselves… and knowing it is all going to happen again tomorrow.

Our Champagne Campaign is 50% off all bottles of Champagne, every night, from 10pm to close. If you haven’t been in yet, I really hope to see you soon!
